General School Letters
As you may be aware from September 2013 the Department for Education has issued new guidelines regarding taking children out of school for a family holiday. The new regulations remove the Headteacher's discretion to grant up to ten days absence for family holidays during term time. This means that the Headteacher will not be able to authorise holidays in term time unless there are very exceptional circumstances. Please be aware that term time holidays are likely to be classed as unauthorised absences which may result in a fixed penalty fine.
